It started with a boot order, not a glove order

The price tag isn't the total cost

The way I see it, the question is not cheaper vs. more expensive. The question is: what does this piece of PPE actually cost per hour of use, per task, and per worker?
I finally believed in that approach only after I ignored it twice—once with Chelsea work boots and once with Showa chemical gloves. The spreadsheet is still the first place I look. It's just not the only place anymore. Now I ask for samples, I run short trials, and I include the cost of rework, replacement, and worker willingness to wear the equipment.
